Numerous concerns have been brought to my attention surrounding the impact school closures may have on the 2017 upper east Tennessee SkillsUSA competitions. At this time we continue to plan to maintain the scheduled date of Tuesday February 21st.
Please understand postponing these contests affects many beyond the contestants and advisors and creates many challenges. Currently, NES staff has coordinated the contest rooms, contest chairs and judges as well as the numerous industry judges who have altered their regular work schedule.
In the event that numerous other schools find it necessary to have school closures on Tuesday, an update will be posted at etnskillsusa.org as well as sent by e-mail and text reminder.
You may subscribe to the text reminder by texting @etnskills to 81010.
E-mail subscription may be completed by new database link I urge you to complete and share with other SkillsUSA advisors at your school. Each person can submit individually and you may access at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-Fp37i3XdkQ6rRT6GP_dlRxAvdUSvmp2BsmhI7mAnLU.
An additional method of e-mail subscription is accessible at www.etnskillsusa.org, click and complete the e-mail sign up link at the top of the page. Stay healthy!!
