All contests will run for one hour
Scoring criteria will be based on the SkillsUSA National Technical Standards as listed below
It is suggested judges follow the listed criteria
-Have all contestants check in and only use contestant numbers in the scoring
-Assign areas of the contest site for each of the demo contests
-Allow all contestants time to set up supplies and workspace prior to the scheduled contest time
-Orally review all rules for each demo contest
-All contest will run for one hour, announce when the time will start, ex. “You will have one hour to complete the contest, you may now begin” again at the completion of 30 minutes, ex. “You have 30 minutes remaining”, and when there is 5 minutes remaining and at the completion of the one hour time announce for all work to stop.
-Read and understand the judging criteria
-Turn in all score sheets and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place medalists information to headquarters as soon as possible (prior to 11:30)
-Check the contest area prior to leaving for any items left behind and assist in straightening the area if needed.
-Allow at least 3 judges to score each contestant area and then tally the judges scores
-Winners will be determined by the total points awarded to the contestants
